Dear Anuradha

0daf 0dd4 two are with in the chart BUT once these two keys are input computer render the correct character from another location. This shape and location is not registered in the UNICODE.

All Sinhala Characters has to be numeracally encoded and visually registered defined in the unicode.

IN SLSI1134 only a limited number is registered (unicode)

example == Latin Extended B
dec 000 hex 00 = Latin capital letter A with double grave

Like this "DU" "RI" and every sinhala character has to be registered in the UNICODE and SLSI 1134

I want you to specify the "Du" and "RI" as I have given in the example above.
Can you define it like the latin example or not.

Until this is done SLSI 1134 in incomplete and incorrect

Re Gihans and Arunis document is listed in my www.akuru.org.
They have not specified absolute locations in unicode or in SLSI 1134 for all Sinhala Characters (like the latin example)

Why you have not answered about having "four ayannas" in the SLSI 1134.....

Best

Donald

If you say SLSI 1134 figure one and the unicode registered chart is
COMPLETE Sinhala; you got to prove it.

I am not that keen to spend too much time to convince anyone by
"proving" that SLS 1134 is complete. I think it is complete, and it is
officially accepted and declared, and that's good enough for us to
continue.

However, see my comments about "dumriya" below.

Just one word is the sinhala word for Train = "du m ri ya"

I cannot find "du" or "ri" in this chart

The "du" & "ri" is supported by a chart else where which is not
registered with UNICODE.

"Dumriya" is encoded as:

0daf 0dd4 0db8 0dca 0dbb 0dd2 0dba

None of the above codes are from outside the chart.

You are confused, because you think only in terms of the pictures on the
chart. Please read the technical paper by Gihan and Aruni which
explains the rest of it, which is also part of the standard. SLS 1134
if the collection of all those. Not just that chart.
