Let us ask IATA and find out! Someone here may well support Debian
or Slackware too.
We, through lklug can promote the truly free versions of Linux.
Debian, Slackware and distros based on these are OK. I agree that
schools will not need support and that if any such support is needed,
we should allow this support to develop in Sri Lanka itself. This
will happen naturally if Linux is so deployed in Schools. What must be
avoided is for IATA or the Ministry of Education to close such
activities or restrict the freedom of Linux and FOSS development and
support say to few companies.
