Installing Redhat 4.2 on a 386DX with 32MB Ram

While booting after installation, the System hangs-up saying
"Unable to open an initial console" after "VFS : Mounted root ...Read only"
There is another problem, It says "Ramdisk driver installed : 16 Ramdisks
of 4096k size" this not possible (32MB RAM).
How do you change the No. of Ramdisks ?
I plan to upgrade this just by installing the base system of RH5.2. Will
this solve the problem.
