I have the following experience. Assume you have a .forward file from one
computer (say A) to the other (B), and not the other way round. When I
sent a mail from B to my account in A, it does not come back to B.
Also if I sent a mail from B to somewhere else (say C) which will be
forwarded to A also will not reach B. Seems that the mail program
(sendmail here) checks for the "From" field and if at least there is one
with your own address, discards it. However, I am not sure about it.
