Hello,<br><br>You can easily set it using Gnome preferences. Go to<br><br>System - &gt; Preferences -&gt; File Manger -&gt; Advance -&gt; Volume Management (Click Configure). <br><br>Then untick the Hotplug... thing. :-)<br>

Hi all,<br>I am working on a project in Ubuntu 9.04 without a GUI. Every time I plug a USB stick a message appears on screen displaying its information. I want to stop this message. I had a look and gave it try by modifing /etc/syslog.conf and /etc/udev/udev.conf but didnot suceed. I would appriate any help on this.<br>
